In preparation for your stay, you can check out my Airbnb travel guide. It includes my favorite spots in Valencia as well as some practical information about the city.

Location
The apartment is located on the first floor of Carrer de Sant Ferran 16 in Valencia.

It is a light blue building with a light brown front door, between restaurant Bardebares and bookstore El Asilo del Libro.

Route
Depending on how you arrive in Valencia, you have several options for getting to Casa Desiré:

• From the airport:
  From the metro station below the airport, take subway line 3 (red) or 5 (green) toward the city. A ticket costs €5,80 per person. Get off after about 20 minutes at Xàtiva metro station. From there it’s about a 9-minute walk (700 m) to the apartment via this Google Maps route. You can also take a cab from the arrivals exit for about €20.
• From the train station: 
  If you arrive at Joaquín Sorolla AVE train station, it is about a 21-minute (1.6km) walk to the apartment using this Google Maps route. A cab from this train station will cost about €7.
  
  If you arrive at Estación del Norte train station, then it is about a 9-minute (700m) walk to the apartment via this route. A cab from here will cost about €6.
• Book a cab:
  Cabs are usually available at the train station and airport, but if you want to book a cab, you can do so through apps like FreeNow, Cabify or Uber.

Check-in time
From 15:00h you can enter the apartment. Earlier check-in is (unless stated otherwise) unfortunately not possible because our cleaners Viorica and Daniela are still busy cleaning the apartment for you.

Key box
You will find the keys in a black key box next to the doorbell. There are 2 key boxes, you need the bottom one.

Your access code consists of the last 6 digits of your phone number. Finish with the lock icon to open the key box. This access code works from 15:00h onwards.

Here is a short video of how the key box works.

On the key ring you will find the following keys:

• The smallest key is from the front door downstairs.
• The key with the red dot is for the apartment (the point on the key must point upward before you insert the key into the lock).
• The last key is for the top safe in the bedroom.

Luggage storage

If necessary, you can briefly store your luggage at Feel Free Luggage Storage, 160m from the apartment. They are open from 10:00-20:00h and with discount code “L09” you get 10% off. You can mention the code in the store or use it while booking a locker at www.feelfreestorage.com.

What is available in the apartment:

Bed linen, towels (1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person) and kitchen towels are included in your booking.

To get you started during your stay, we also provide some basic amenities:

• In the kitchen: a bottle of water, Nespresso cups, tea, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, vinegar, kitchen paper, hand soap and dish soap.
• In the bathroom: toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap.
• Washing machine: it contains enough detergent and fabric softener (automatic dosing system) for several washes.

You will also find in the apartment a hand steamer for clothes, hair dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, refrigerator with small freezer, electric stove, clothes rack, clothes dryer and first aid kit, among others. The Wifi is very fast (+300Mbps) and on the TV you can use our Netflix subscription.

On request, we can prepare a travel cot and high chair for children (up to about 2 years old).

(Super) markets nearby:
Valencia of course has many (super) markets, but these are the closest ones incl. directions and opening hours:

• Mercado Central (fresh market), across the street. Open Monday through Saturday from 07:30-15:00h.
• EROSKI (small supermarket), 2-minute walk (180 m). Open on Monday-Sunday from 09:00-22:00h.
• Consum (large supermarket), 7 minutes’ walk (550 m). Open Monday to Saturday from 09:00-21:30h.

QR codes in the apartment::
Inside the apartment, you will find several QR codes on the devices. By scanning them with your phone’s camera, you can read the short manuals for those devices. On the blackboard on the wall, you will find a QR code that allows you to quickly connect to the WiFi.

Air conditioning:
The air conditioners in the bedroom and above the kitchen can both heat and cool.

Washer & dryer: 
The washing machine has an automatic dosing system that already contains detergent and fabric softener. The condenser and filter of the clothes dryer must be emptied after each use. Refer to the manuals for both machines by scanning the QR codes.

House rules:
Please note the following house rules while staying at Casa Desiré:

• No smoking (indoors and outdoors, including vaping and e-cigarettes)
• No parties
• No pets
• Please respect our neighbors, keep it quiet between 22:00-08:00h.
• Regularly take trash to the underground containers.

Garbage:
The nearest underground garbage containers are 100 meters from the apartment, in front of the red building next to Mercado Central.

Sofa bed:
If you want to use the sofa bed, all you have to do is unfold it. The bed is already made and the pillows can be found on the bed in the bedroom. This short video shows you how to unfold the bed.

Check-out is at 11:00h. Our cleaners start shortly after 11:00h to prepare the apartment again for the next guests, so later check-out is unfortunately not possible (unless stated otherwise). Can you let me know what time you expect to leave?

Upon departure, please note the following:

• Guestbook: feel free to write something in our guestbook! We enjoy reading it back. 🫶
• Garbage: please bring the waste to the underground waste containers. The nearest containers are 100 meters from the apartment, in front of the red building next to Mercado Central.
• Air conditioning: turn off all air conditioners.
• Windows/doors: close all windows and doors.
• Bedding: there is no need to take the bedding off the bed or sofa bed. We will take care of that! You can leave the sofa bed unfolded if it has been used.
• Keys: you may leave the keys on the dining table and can close the door behind you.
